The Brian White Quintet & Quartet are professional jazz bands comprising of the leading credible jazz musicians in Jersey. Becoming the cornerstone of Jazz in Jersey. For many years the band has played at wedding receptions, laying down a sophisticated musical backdrop either inside or outside.

The Band is in its 16th year of residency at the Savoy Hotel, playing every Friday in Roberto’s Jazz Bar. As a result, achieving an Island-wide reputation as the leading Jazz Band in Jersey. A reputation that we are very proud of.
This impressive jazz band can be seen every Friday at Roberto Jazz Bar, The Savoy Jersey. The evening of Jazz starts at 8pm and is a free entry event, but very popular. For this reason booking is recommended, as is the menu!
Able to perform as an excitingly authentic Jazz feature or laying down an atmospheric backdrop of live Jazz music. The group plays a selection of swing, jazz and bebop, standards from the great American songbook, ratpack favorites, original jazz compositions, Latin jazz, bossa nova and ballads.
The band is influenced by the Jazz greats, musicians such as Miles Davis, Duke Pearson, Hank Mobley, Wynton Kelly, Carlos Jobim, Dizzy Reece, Paul Chambers, Horace Silver, Lee Morgan, Dexter Gordon, Freddie Hubbard, Art Blakey, John Coltrane, Stanley Turrentine, Art Farmer and many others.
The Quintet or Quartet is available for bookings for your wedding reception, private or corporate event, cocktail or garden party, birthdays & anniversaries. Additionally we can lay down a musical backdrop for a sophisticated dinner. In contrast, just for the thrill of having a live Jazz band to play for you.

Funky Mama
Funky Mama are a hammond organ based jazz quartet specialising in the infectious organ grooves of the 1960’s soul jazz movement.
Jazz Funk, Boogaloo and Jazz Soul classics from the hip era of Blue Note jazz recordings. Playing music from the likes of Jimmy Smith, John Patton and Lou Donaldson
Tunes such as Lee Morgan’s “Sidewinder” and Freddie Hubbard’s “Hippieness is Now”
The band enlists the Funky sounds of; Tim Horsfall on Hammond Organ, Brian White on Trumpet, Dave Andre on Tenor sax and Timmy Bryon on drums

If Rat Pack is your thing and would like to have a vocalist sing for you, the Quartet can be joined by one of our fantastic vocalists for a set of rat pack and Sinatra tunes. RatPack is by far the leading Swing band in the Island, Ideal for after diner dancing.

All our guests commented on how great the band were and they played a great mix of music in the two sets, which really got the party going. Jazz Festival
I recently hosted a Saga jazz holiday at the Merton Hotel, Jersey, at which The Brian White Quartet was engaged to play. This was a unique experience, being Saga's first jazz holiday on the island and also that we had not heard the band play before. What a wonderful evening we had, with the band playing a superb programme of smooth, sophisticated jazz to the audience's delight. The band was very professional in every way - with good time-keeping and performing to our specified requirements. I have no hesitation in recommending this band if you are looking for something special, modern, up to date and very entertaining.
